GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – UW-Green Bay is expecting another record year for enrollment with nearly 10,000 students.
It would be the seventh straight year with growth and it comes at a time when other UW schools are struggling to grow enrollment.
10 of the 13 four-year campuses saw enrollment decline last year, according to preliminary numbers released in fall 2021.
UWGB leaders say they have plenty of new offerings luring students to the school.
“In terms of our technology on campus and increasing our opportunities for students and their different modalities of classes and working with faculty,” said Corey King, UW-Green Bay Vice Chancellor for University Inclusivity & Student Affairs. “In our residence halls, we now have free laundry, more WIFI for our students on campus as well.”
The school also hopes to announce plans for a new residence hall soon. It hopes to have it completed within the next two to three years.
Classes begin on September 7th at the four UW-Green Bay campuses: Green Bay, Manitowoc, Marinette, and Sheboygan.
