GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Green Bay community is asked to come together to help prevent suicide. The annual “Be the Light Walk” returns on Saturday, September 10.
The night is for survivors of suicide loss, community leaders, citizens and advocates.
Money raised from the “Be the Light Walk” help fund suicide prevention programs in and around Brown County.
The event begins with a resource fair and live music. It will also feature author and suicide survivor, Michael Rounds. It concludes with a one-mile candlelight walk through downtown Green Bay.
The walk begins at the KI Convention Center, goes past the Neville Public Museum and back across the Fox River before finishing at the City Deck.
The night’s schedule is as follows:
5 p.m.: Registration opens, Survivor Connection, Resource Fair and Live Music from 7000apart
7:30 p.m.: Keynote speaker Michael Rounds
8:30 p.m.: Walk begins
9:30 p.m.: Walk/Event ends
