GWINN, MI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Nobody is hurt after a pickup truck went through the ice and sank on an Upper Michigan lake over the weekend.
The truck was plowing snow on the ice of Big Shag Lake on Sunday when it broke through. A video captured the moments the ice broke and when the driver escaped through the window – before the truck was fully submerged.
It is unknown if the driver of the truck will face any penalties for the incident. The reported high temperature for the area that afternoon was 39 degrees.
