GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Stop treating the toilet like a trash can. That’s the advice from NEW water and part of their new “flush fighters” campaign.
“”We have definitely seen an uptick in what we call the “un-flushables” coming to our facility,” said Public Affairs & Education Manager Tricia Garrison. “We like people to not use their toilet as a trash can and only flush the three Ps: number 1, number 2 and toilet paper,”
She says you wouldn’t believe what people have tried to flush.
“We are getting things like ramen noodle rappers, toys, sanitary products and none of these things should be thrown in the toilet, they belong in the trash,” Garrison said.
She says the ‘unflushables’ can cause serious backup problems and even environmental damage.
