OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) – Two Gillett High School students charged in connection with spiking their teacher’s drink with cleaning solution will stand trial.
In court Monday, 18-year-old Hailey Brock and 17-year-old Gavin Gilbertson were ordered to stand trial by Oconto County Judge Jay Conley. Their arraignment was set for February 11.
Brock confessed to pouring the cleaning solution for a dry-erase board in the drink of Gillett High School staffer Ray Johnson on October 20, according to the criminal complaint. Police say Gilbertson helped, in what both described as a prank.
Johnson went the hospital for treatment and was released the same day.
The teens each face 2 charges: placing foreign object in an edible, and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
