GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – It will take nearly a month before residents of a west side Green Bay apartment complex can return home following a weekend fire.
Fire crews were called Sunday morning to Valley Green Apartments.
According to the Red Cross, volunteers served meals to 31 residents after the fire. Two people spent the night at a Red Cross shelter set up at Green Bay West High School. Everyone else stayed with family or friends.
Red Cross officials say that apartment managers spoke with the displaced residents. They were told some will be able to move in as soon as possible to other buildings where there are vacancies.
