Appleton, WI (WTAQ) – A jury found Chong Lee guilty of first-degree intentional homicide Wednesday night.
The 30 year old was convicted of shooting and killing 25 year old Joshua Richards at former Appleton nightclub, The Luna Lounge in December 2013.
Lee has denied shooting him.
Lee was also charged with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The jury found him guilty on that count as well.
He was acquitted on two of the four witness intimidation charges.
Richards’ mother, Jackie Pische, spoke after the verdict was read.
“Emotions are high of course but we knew he was guilty all along we knew it and justice and the jury made the right verdict today.”
In civil court, Pische has also filed a wrongful death suit against Lee.
Lee’s family did not speak in court.
No date has been set for sentencing.
