ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Ashwaubenon fire crews responded to a passerby’s report of smoke coming from the roof of a building on the 900 block of Glory Road.
Officials say the fire started just after 3 Sunday morning at Benmar Fabrication.
When crews arrived flames were coming from the building’s upper level.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety said a brick building was made it difficult to put out the fire
It took crews more than an hour to put out the fire and the building also had structural issues.
The weather also played a factor in the fire.
Officials are looking into the cause of the fire.
There are no damage estimates at this time and no one was injured.

Eric Dunning, Ashwaubenon Public Safety police chief says it took crews more than an hour to put out the fire and the building also had structural issues.
“No injuries but obviously with the temperatures in the teens we started having icy conditions with packs freezing up and firefighters started to slip on the roadways with the ice.”
Officials are looking into the cause of the fire.
