GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ)- Community members and officials participated in a campaign that makes a difference for those neglected or abused.
Family and Childcare Resources of N.E.W sponsored the Blue Kite campaign.
Paula Breese of the organization says throughout April, businesses are selling kites for one dollar, with proceeds going towards programs to fight child abuse.
“I appreciate the staff and how much work you have been doing to prevent child abuse and neglect in our community,” she said. “We have been really lucky to have the support of the community for our blue kite campaign for 7 years.”
The organization’s goal is to raise $4,932, one dollar for every suspected child abuse and neglect report in Brown County.
