GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Thousands of people welcomed Senator Bernie Sanders to Green Bay Friday night.
Sanders spoke to around 3,100 people at the Kress Events Center on the UW-Green Bay campus.
During his speech Sanders catered to young people, minorities, and women and talked about free college tuition, universal health care, and equal pay for women.
Later at the event, one man started yelling at Sanders. His campaign says the man was not a protester but just wanted his story to be heard. Officials escorted him out for safety concerns.
Sanders has several events Saturday in Eau Claire and Milwaukee. Sunday, Sanders will campaign in Wausau and Madison. Monday, he’ll return to Green Bay.
