GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ)- Colburn Pool was ready for swimming Friday, but mother nature had other ideas.
The opening of the pool was delayed from opening weekend to finish upkeep projects.
The pool opened at Noon but closed early due to thunder and lightning.
This year, the pool is equipped with inflatables, including a large obstacle course, a wheel and an action tower and diving wall, that pool rec supervisor Ann Moeller says they hope brings in people.
“We just want to really get more people out to this pool and enjoy what Colburn pool has to offer, the setting is gorgeous; All of these cherry trees are surrounding the pool,” Said Moeller. “It’s a peaceful way to spend a summer day and the more people that come out to Colburn Pool the better.”
Moeller says they will try some new things this year to see how it is received.
On Sunday, dads will be able to swim for free as long as there is one paid admission for each dad.
