GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Those looking to provide services to help the construction and operation of FoxConn will have the opportunity to attend an information session today in Green Bay.
The meeting will be held at NWTC on West Mason Street from 1:30 to 3:00.
Mark Maley with Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation says it is the start of FoxConn fulfilling their promise for a “Wisconsin First” approach and many jobs are available.
“Any company that really thinks they can contribute to the FoxConn construction project should take an hour and a half to see what this is all about.”
Maley says that includes many types of businesses.
“Potential vendor or let’s say you are a supplier for parts of a building or for asphalt, even legal services. The door is wide open.”
He says the project is in Phase 1, and soon, many Wisconsin businesses will have the opportunity to bid for a job.
“Our hope for this is to see that kind of transformation experience as a result of FoxConn.
An update on the construction schedule with and timeline for the next 12 months will be presented.
“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for Wisconsin businesses and Wisconsin residents.”
