RIPON, WI (WTAQ) – One of the Rippin’ Good cookie factories that closed last year could soon reopen.
New York-based Simply Natural Foods has purchased the former Ripon East plant.
Simply Natural officials say they plan to produce wafer cookies similar to those made by Rippin’ Good, while also offering some healthier options.
A skeleton staff is working to bring the plant back to full production capacity.
No word on when the facility will be ready or how many people will be employed.
Fond du Lac County officials plan to discuss those matters at a meeting this week.
TreeHouse Foods cited a lack of demand when it closed the plant last year, putting roughly 60 people out of work.
