ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ) – An Allouez facility that serves those with physical and mental disabilities hosted an event to kick off ‘Ability Awareness’ week.
Participants from Cerebral Palsy, ASPIRO, and Curative Connections gathered at the CP Center Monday to create large murals with adaptable art tools.
CP Development Director Callie Sherman says the goal of the event is to enhance community awareness about services offered.
“The three agencies involved in No Limits Week are really about serving the clients that we serve, helping them to become more independent, helping them to get involved in the community, despite whatever special need they might have.”
The murals will be cut into pieces.
Those segments will be given to clients, hung on the walls of the participating agencies, and turned into donor thank you cards.
