GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A downtown Green Bay organization is getting ready to launch an initiative to help revitalize housing in the Broadway District.
On Broadway Inc. is kicking off the “Love Here, Live Here” campaign at Wednesday’s farmers market.
Executive Director Brian Johnson says they hope to improve the housing stock within the district.
“It’s really about looking at these property owners and saying hey, how can we be partners in this, and how can we help you by connecting you to the things that will allow you to make improvements to your property.”
The first phase of the campaign is targeting 90 properties. Around 25 of those property owners have already showed interest in either selling or being contacted to secure funding for improvements.
The program will expand throughout the remainder of the district which spans from the river to Ashland Ave.
