APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A man convicted in a fatal nightclub shooting in December 2013 has been sentenced to life in prison.
30-year-old Chong Lee was convicted of killing 25-year-old Joshua Richards at the Luna Lounge in downtown Appleton in March.
During his sentencing hearing Thursday, the judge granted Lee parole eligibility after 30 years.
Lee also spoke in court through tears and the judge added that no decision he could make can ease the pain for Richards’ family.
Prosecutors had sought life in prison without the possibility of parole.
