MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ) – Almost three dozen school districts in northeast and north central Wisconsin are closed Monday due to the bitter cold.
Wausau and its suburban D.C. Everest districts are the largest in the state to shut down — along with Marinette, Antigo, and Rhinelander.
Bayfield schools are also closed, due to a previously announced heating problem.
All but a handful of schools planned to be open all day in northwest, western, and southern Wisconsin. Some districts said they would start classes two hours late.
A full list of school closings can be found here.
