Town Of Empire, WI (WTAQ) – The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office say the cause of death for two people found dead in a Town of Empire residence Friday morning is murder-suicide.
Sixty-two- year-old Dr. Mark Whitmore strangled his wheelchair bound 27-year- old daughter Julia and then killed himself with a knife.
Sheriff’s Captain Ryan Waldschmidt says no solid motive has been determined for the murder.
Julia’s disability required constant care.
Dr. Whitmore was her primary caregiver, a home health nurse provided care for her when he was away.
