BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt may be starting the process to enter the race for Brown County Executive.
Brown County Clerk’s office confirmed that Schmitt took out the packet of papers needed to run for the position, but it does not mean that he will for sure be a candidate on the ballot.
Any interested candidates who do take out paperwork for the position have until January 2nd to complete the paperwork and turn it in to officially be a candidate.
Earlier this year, Mayor Schmitt announced that he would not seek another term as Mayor.
