MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – Manitowoc Company Inc. says approximately 528 employees will be affected by the moving of some of its operations out of state.
The company announced earlier this week, it will be closing its crane manufacturing facility, located a 2401 South 30 Street, and moving operations to Pennsylvania.
The layoffs will begin in stages beginning this year and be completed by mid-2017.
The company says its headquarters, crane product engineering, and crane support functions will remain in Manitowoc.
The Bay Area Workforce Development Board‘s Rapid Response team will offer services to affected workers.
