MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team advanced in the NCAA Tournament with a 67-60 win over Colgate on Friday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Colgate, one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country made six of their first seven three pointers in the second half and led 52-48 with 10:40 left. But they didn’t score again until the 3:33 mark.
Steven Crowl hit a three pointer at the 8:08 mark that put Wisconsin ahead for good. Johnny Davis scored the Badgers last 14 points and a late 10-0 run allowed Wisconsin to pull away and end Colgate’s 15 game winning streak.
Davis lead the Badgers with 25 points and Tyler Wahl added 15 points & nine rebounds.
Wisconsin, now 25-7, will take on Iowa State at 5:10 pm on Sunday.
