GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – An investigation has been launched into Sunday night’s drive-by shooting in Green Bay.
Lieutenant Rick Belanger says it happened in the area of North Danz and University avenues around 7:50 pm.
“There was no injuries at all. We did recover some evidence from a vehicle involved, but nobody was hurt in the incident.”
Belanger does not believe this was a random occurrence, noting there is no danger to the public.
“It’s really not known 100%, the relationship, but we do know one exists, and it was related to some beef that they had between each other.”
No suspect description has been provided.
With multiple shootings reported in the city recently, Belanger says there doesn’t appear to be ties between any of them.
“The cases previously do not have any connections or relate to each other at all. The names are all different. It just seems to be quite a mix of different reasons (for the shootings).
Anyone with information on any of the shootings under investigation are asked to call Green Bay Police at 920-448-3208.
