NEW LONDON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An autopsy on the body of a person found in a burned-out SUV has determined that the person was a female — but little else.
Police say the autopsy was done Monday.
That was two days after the SUV was found burning near Henry Street, east of N. Shawano Street, on the city’s north side.
Police say nothing suspicious was found during the autopsy.
However, investigators still have not identified the person, and say they will need to use dental records.
No more information will be released until the person has been identified and an official cause of death has been determined,
Police say the public is not in danger.
