GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A federal judge has sentenced a man who stole a truck and rammed it into a police squad car to three years in prison.
According to court documents, Willie Hayes was involved in an argument with family members on May 13. Menominee tribal police were called in, before Hayes stole a neighbor’s truck.
A police sergeant was sitting in a squad car blocking Hayes’ path, when Hayes rammed the squad. The cop suffered several minor injuries.
Hayes was also put on supervised release for 5 years following his prison sentence.
