MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – A Marinette County man will not have his murder conviction appeal heard by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Joseph Evans is serving a life prison term, without parole, for the murder of his wife Dina in 2008.
The couple was close to getting a divorce when the shooting took place. Evans claimed the gun went off accidentally.
This week, the state’s high court said it will not review an earlier appeals court decision upholding Evans’ conviction.
