(WNFL) – Baseball is the only major pro sport that has every team represented in its All-Star Game. This year, it appears that Brewers’ best candidate is closer Francisco Rodriguez. He has recorded saves in all 15 of his opportunities this season. K-Rod has struck out 32 batters in 27 innings. His ERA is down to one, and opponents are hitting just .156 against him. Nobody scored against Rodriguez in 24-of-his-27 total appearances this season. Manager Craig Counsell says K-Rod is “lights out” every time he gets the ball — and if somebody else can get hot for a couple weeks, maybe the Brewers could get a second representative. The All-Star Game is set for July 14th in Cincinnati. Last year, Rodriguez was among four Milwaukee players as National League All-Stars in Minneapolis. But that was when the Brewers led the National League Central division — a lead they held all season until their now-infamous September collapse.
Rodriguez may be the only Brewers All-Star
