WNFL – (Johnson City, TN) The Green Bay Phoenix tipped off at five o’clock this morning and jumped out to a 15-4 first half lead against East Tennessee State in college basketball’s 24-hour tip-off marathon. The Buccaneers followed with a 31-11 run to take the lead for good and pull out a 103-90 victory. Green Bay junior forward Kenneth Lowe finished with a career high 23 points and added nine rebounds. Carrington Love added 22 points but it wasn’t enough to prevent Green Bay from falling to oh-and-two. The Phoenix surrendered 100 or more points for the first time since the 2004 season. Green Bay will take on Georgia Tech on Thursday night in Atlanta.
