(WNFL) – Former Wisconsin Badgers’ assistant coach Brad Childress has been a named a co-offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. He and Matt Nagy will share the job, but head coach Andy Reid says he’ll call the plays on offense during the Chiefs’ games. Childress and Nagy replace former Green Bay reserve quarterback Doug Pederson, who was named this week as the new head coach in Philadelphia. The 59-year-old Childress was the quarterbacks coach in Madison from 1991-to-’93, and he was Barry Alvarez’ offensive coordinator from ’94-through-98. In the N-F-L, Childress was the head coach at Minnesota from 2006-through-2010, and has been with Kansas City the last three seasons as a spread game analyst.
