You can call me Z. I hate boring radio. When you listen to The Morning News with Matt you will experience many things and boredom is not one of them. My goal is to make sure you are informed as you start your day and entertained along the way.

Here are some facts you should know:

Going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do. I am a big fan of the entire experience with the exception of crying babies, talkers, texters and seat kickers. Remind me again why I like going so much? I love losing myself for a couple of hours.

I’m a New England Patriots fan and have been since the age of 7, deal with it people! I’m also a huge Milwaukee Brewers fan. Do I play sports? Yes and I love it.

I’m up for trying any type of food at least once. My most unusual experience was eating horse when I was in Japan. Did I mention it was raw? I should also tell you it was delicious! I also love cooking and it’s a passion of mine. Along with the always expanding craft beer scene!

I LOVE laughing and making people laugh!!! There’s nothing better.

I’m a lifelong Midwesterner originally from Cleveland, Ohio who has traveled the country appearing on radio stations in Illinois, Iowa, and Delaware before finally landing in the great state of Wisconsin back in 2019.

I’m a graduate of Illinois State University and started as a rock DJ in Bloomington, Illinois. I’ve spent a huge portion of my career in radio news, and join the WTAQ Morning News directly from the award-winning WTAQ newsroom.

As a Clevelander, I’m a Browns fan, but the Packers have been my NFC team since I was 14 because I needed a reason to watch playoff football and Brett Favre happened to be my favorite player growing up.

I love my adopted home of Wisconsin and enjoy a huge variety of both outdoor and indoor hobbies, from biking to shooting to painting to tabletop and video gaming alike.
