GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Super Bowl champion and the defensive star of the 1989 “Cardiac Pack” will be the next inductees into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
The team announced Tuesday that wide receiver Greg Jennings and linebacker Tim Harris are set to be inducted into the hall of fame next September.
Jennings appeared in 96 games, starting 86, for the Packers from 2006-12. Jennings ranks ninth in Packers history with 425 receptions, eighth with 6,537 yards and sixth with 53 touchdowns. He scored twice in the Packers’ Super Bowl XLV championship. Jennings was named to two Pro Bowls.
Harris played for the Packers from 1986-90. His team-record 19 1/2 sacks came during the memorable 1989 season, when the Packers went 10-6 for their first winning season in seven years. He was named to the Pro Bowl and all-pro teams that season. Overall, Harris ranks fourth in team history with 55 sacks. Harris was known for his “six-shooters” sack celebration.
