GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Current and future SWAT team officers from all across Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are in Green Bay this week, taking part in basic SWAT school training at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. From room clearing to door breaking, to weapons and basic communication skills, the officers learn skills that could save lives. Over 4,000 first responders train at NWTC every year. The Public Safety Center generates over half a million dollars in annual economic impact.
