GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Local health officials and event organizers aren’t sure how vaccine requirements will be enforced.
Brown County Health Officer Anna Destree says they’re not sure what the federal vaccine mandate for employers with more than 100 employees will look like.
“That was a federal mandate that came down, so we’re going to be spending time learning more about it to see what that looks like,” said Destree.
President Joe Biden also encouraged event organizers at stadiums and venues to mandate vaccination as well.
Terry Charles is with PMI Entertainment, a group that puts on events at the Resch Complex, and says that vaccine requirements at events will require more manpower.
“It’s all so new and for us, so far, we only have one event that’s requiring vaccination,” Charles said. “but certainly, it’s going to require more people.”
In the meantime, Charles says they are recommending masks regardless of vaccination status.
