MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – There could be more people in and around Fiserv Forum for Game 6 of the NBA Finals than there are inside Lambeau Field for a Green Bay Packers game.
The Milwaukee Bucks are expanding the Deer District watch party just outside the arena to accommodate as many as 65,000 fans on Tuesday night. The main stage and screen are being moved to Block 6 of the district, directly north of Fiserv Forum between Vel R. Phillips Avenue and Fifth Street. The party will stretch back across Juneau Avenue and continue onto the plaza at Fiserv Forum.
Fans planning to be in the Deer District are encouraged to RSVP online to receive updated information and guidance.
Fans with tickets to the game are encouraged to arrive early. There will be a dedicated express entrance to the plaza on the north side of Fiserv Forum near the intersection of Juneau Avenue and Fifth Street. Gates open at 6 p.m., two hours before tipoff.
Between the 16,500-fan capacity inside Fiserv Forum and the potential 65,000 fans in the Deer District, there could be as many as 81,500 people in the immediate area. Here’s how that compares to the capacity at other large Wisconsin venues:
- Lambeau Field, Green Bay Packers games: 81,411
- Camp Randall Stadium, Wisconsin Badgers football games: 80,321
- American Family Field, Milwaukee Brewers games: 41,900
With a win over the Phoenix Suns Tuesday, the Bucks would clinch their first NBA championship in 50 years. If the Suns, win, the series shifts to Phoenix for a winner-take-all Game 7 Thursday night.
