GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Former Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson is weighing in on the Aaron Rodgers drama.
Woodson was in town for his charity golf outing.
“I know Aaron is very prideful, very stubborn guy and I think he’s the type of guy, man he’s got himself dug in and that’s kind of where he’s going to be. If this things going to work he and the Packers have to sit down and they have to truly iron out what the difference is. Whatever his grievances are with the team they’re going to have to give him something right, and then he’s going to have to give up something in order for it to work,” Woodson told reporters. “There’s got to be some compromise in there somewhere, but if that doesn’t happen I can see Aaron Rodgers sitting out a full year and I would hate for that to happen.”
Rodgers has been away from the team and has sat out of the mandatory mini-camp. He is reportedly unhappy with team management.
Woodson played for the Packers between 2006 and 2012. He’ll be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month. Soon after he will join the Packers Hall of Fame along with Al Harris.
