GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A visit from some prehistoric creatures put big smiles on the faces of young patients at a Green Bay children’s hospital.
Animatronic dinosaurs from Dino Stroll, an event at the Resch Expo this weekend, took a stroll to HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital on Friday.
The life-like dinosaurs gathered outside the hospital to interact with patients who were able to come outside for a visit. And those who could not, watched from their windows above.
Kailee Hanson, a certified child life specialist, says this gesture by the Dino Stroll crew means the world to the hospital and its patients.
“They were able to come here and provide so much joy to our patients who are maybe having a bad day, a bad week, a bad stretch, and lift their spirits and keep them going on and just see that smile across their face and having so much happiness and uplifting their spirits,” Hanson said.
Dino Stroll is happening at the Resch Expo Saturday and Sunday.
