GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A local homeless shelter threw a party for the community Saturday.
The Transformation House had its 7th annual Feed the Homeless and Community Barbecue at St. Johns Park in Green Bay.
It featured a fun, relaxing atmosphere, as well as music and entertainment.
Shelter director Manuelus Reacco tells FOX 11 about why the shelter does this event.
“I think it’s very important to show the… homeless and the community that people care, and that people who have it hard… no matter what, you find their face is self-effacing.”
The event also featured access to community resources about homelessness.
