ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Packer fans are making their plans for watching tonight’s regular-season opener and businesses in Green Bay are gearing up.
The new and improved Stadium View Sports Bar and Banquet Hall in Ashwaubenon is ready to kick off their regular season.
“We are not expecting it to be slow, that is for sure.”
Amanda Watson, General Manager says they have already had positive reviews on new renovations including rooftop seating, but she says that was the preseason.
“We have gotten a ton of great feedback, so it will be fun to do this during the regular season because we have not experienced that portion of it yet.”
Watson spent Wednesday working with staff, making sure the menus were ready to go and is excited to see how rooftop seating goes for the regular season.
“It will be really interesting having our rooftop this year to see what that game is going to look like for us.”
She says Packer games are usually a fun, rowdy atmosphere, but playing at home tends to bring in different crowds. This first game is on the road.
Wisconsin sports fans seem ready to shift seasons.
Watson says they will still keep Brewer games on in the bar as they finish their regular season but feels the hype will naturally change to college football and NFL football this week.
Last year was an exception when the Brewers were leading a penent race at this point in the season.
Watson says the business is football based and it is important to her and her family to stay true to its roots.
