SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) – The recent arrest of illegal immigrants that resided in Shawano County has the Sheriff speaking up about border security.Having illegal aliens commit crimes in Shawano County hits too close to home for Sheriff Adam Bieber.
“This case is obvious of these individuals taking advantage of our system, our culture and our laws.”
Three brothers came to Birnamwood illegally from Mexico and worked on a farm in the county. One was recently arrested and charged for child sex crimes of four different teenage girls and one for drug possession.
“My opinion is that they should be removed from our country as soon as they are done being charged and serve their sentence.”
He said his thoughts echo those of President Barack Obama.
“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented and unchecked.”
Sheriff Bieber says these individuals had fake ID’s, used different aliases and had multiple run-ins with the law.
“I support President Trump trying to secure our borders so that folks that want to do harm or won’t respect our culture or laws, don’t come into our country.”
Sheriff Bieber is calling for ICE to step in after they go through the court system.
