WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ) – A hit an run of a woman in Waupaca County last week has resulted in charges against two people from out of state.
34-year-old Felicia Lubin of Evans, Colorado and 54-year-old Marcos Tomas of Clermont, Florida have been charged with hit and run involving death.
Investigators say on September 15, 49-year-old Jacqueline Johnson was walking on Highway 10 when she was struck by a vehicle.
Tomas was allegedly driving the vehicle at the time of the crash without a valid driver’s license.
It was reported that he informed police that a co-worker was driving the vehicle and the damage was caused by hitting a deer.
It was determined that the person mentioned was in jail at the time.
Police used GPS tracking and surveillance video from a Merrill gas station to find what appeared to be Tomas getting out of the vehicle.
Video from the Milwaukee airport shows what appears to be Lubin getting out of the vehicle and Tomas driving.
According to the report, Lubin contacted police about a person that was struck by a vehicle near the airport. She told the dispatcher that another vehicle hit the woman.
Lubin is in custody in another state, Thomas is at large.
