GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The three bridges that cross the Fox River in downtown Green Bay will temporarily close this month for annual spring cleaning.
Closing dates, times, impacted streets and detours are as follows:
Donald A. Tilleman Bridge (Mason Street)
- Next Wednesday, April 14: 6 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Closed east of the river on E. Mason Street at S. Monroe Avenue and west of the river on W. Mason Street at S. Ashland Avenue
- Detour: S. Ashland Avenue, Walnut Street and S. Monroe Avenue
Walnut Street Bridge (Highway 29)
- Next Thursday, April 15: 6 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Closed east of the river on E. Walnut Street at Washington Street and west of the river on W. Walnut Street at Broadway
- Detour: N. Broadway, Dousman Street, Main Street and N. Monroe Avenue
Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge (Dousman Street & Main Street)
- April 30: 3 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Closed east of the river on Main Street at N. Washington Street and west of the river on Dousman Street at N. Broadway
- Detour: N. Broadway, E. Walnut Street and N. Monroe Avenue
All work is weather-dependent and subject to change. Drivers should expect backups, use caution while driving through work zones and are encouraged to use other routes, the city says.
