GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Lane and ramp closures are scheduled for a pair of highway bridges around Green Bay this week.
Wisconsin Department of Transportation Regional Communications Manager Mark Kantola says the projects are “just routine maintenance work, trying to get as much done as we can before the snow flies.”
Kantola says crews will be patching pavements on the Leo Frigo Bridge from Tuesday through Friday. These are the closures motorist should know about on that end of town:
- Southbound I-43 on-ramp from Atkinson Drive closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 and Wednesday, Oct. 23.
- Southbound I-43 on-ramp from WIS 57 closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 25.
- Various lanes on southbound I-43 between Atkinson Drive and University Avenue will be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 25.
Crews will also be doing maintenance on the Highway 172 bridge over the Fox River on Tuesday and Wednesday. The right lane going eastbound will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, while the right lane going westbound will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
