TOWN OF GRANT, WI (WTAQ) – The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that 62-year-old Daniel Young passed away Thursday at a hospital in Madison from injuries suffered during an explosion last month.
The blast injured four men, all members of the Caroline Lions Club.
Officials say there were all working a project for the upcoming Caroline Colorama Color Run.
Crews were called to a property owned by Steve Verg on September 23 after an explosion took place.
Verg died two days later and 64-year-old Michael Suehring died days after that.
One other person still trying to recover from injuries.
Club members say all four men had third-degree burns on fifty percent of their bodies.
While the explosion at Verg’s farm remains under investigation, officials say the cause appears to be a propane leak or malfunction.
