BONDUEL, WI (WTAQ) – A new detour for State 117 near Bonduel is going in effect after a portion of the road was closed when the Mountain Bay Bridge sustained damage from an accident last week.
The plan is to remove the damaged bridge. The new detour will include Highway 22 South and County BE.
For motorists, new detours were announced Thursday:
- WIS 117 southbound will take WIS 22 southbound to Shawano County BE (Business 29) eastbound to WIS 117 in Bonduel.
- WIS 117 northbound will take Shawano County BE (Business 29) westbound to WIS 22 northbound.
The bridge will be removed by the end of next week. The removal is expected to allow traffic to flow as normal by November 1st.
