FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – A 33-year-old Winneconne man has been arrested for a 5th offense OWI.
Andrew Schimke was operating a minivan at the time of the crash and was taken into custody after troopers conducted field sobriety tests.
The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 151 and I-41 in Fond Du Lac County on Friday evening.
Officials say the crash involved three vehicles, An SUV, a pick-up truck and the minivan.
Several people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
The State Trooper noticed signs of impairment while talking to the man.
Officials say four children all under the age of 16 were in the vehicle at the time.
