OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Damage to a boat launch kiosk is the latest in a series of vandalism incidents at Oshkosh Parks.
The pay station at the Fugleberg Boat Launch had the info screen and body of the unit scratched, including etching of vulgarities, according to Parks Director Ray Maurer.
He says it hasn’t been decided yet how the unit will be repaired, but the bill for that is likely to be at least $400.
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call Oshkosh Police at 920-236-5700.
There have been several other recent vandalism incidents at parks, including spray painting, Maurer said, noting such incidents tend to happen more frequently in spring, as the weather gets nicer and facilities open.
