GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The longest-running rivalry in the NFL returns to Lambeau Field on Sunday, and the odds of finding tickets might be higher than the Chicago Bears playoff chances.
“It’s a huge game. The Bears have to win to keep their little slim playoff chance alive and the Packers need to win to hopefully continue to hold that two-seed,” says Travis Loftus from Ticket King.
“Da Bears” and their fans are making the trek up Interstate 41 for the Packers’ final regular-season home game. Loftus says they’re seeing some demand, but the weather might be scaring some fans away.
“Comparatively speaking to other seasons, this is actually one of the more reasonably priced Packers/Bears games just because it’s in December. December games are a little softer than usual. We have tickets from around $160 and up,” Loftus says.
Tickets for last week’s Redskins game started at $80, and Loftus believes tickets for a home playoff game would still see lower than prices this weekend. Loftus reminds fans on both sides of the border to vet the people they’re buying tickets from.
“This game brings out some of the counterfeit people and some of the shadiness. If the deal’s too good to be true, don’t do it. Buy through a credited ticket agency or anyone that can back their tickets,” Loftus tells WTAQ News.
Kickoff is set for Noon on Sunday.
The Packers are being held as 4.5 point favorites by betting agencies. The Bears currently have between a 2-5% chance of making the playoffs. Those odds would move to 6% with a win at Lambeau and jump to 43% if they won out over the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings.
