MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) – Menasha Police say a 21-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being accidentally shot on Thursday.
An initial report claimed the shooting happened near a park, but after investigating, police believe it actually happened at a home in Menasha.
Investigators are talking with people they believe were involved, and there is no threat to the public.
An initial release was sent out to clarify false information being spread about the shooting on social media.
The man is being treated at a local hospital.
