FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — All visits to inmates at the Fond du Lac County Jail are suspended until further notice amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the decision is an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, the illness caused by coronavirus, to inmates. State and federal prison officials have issued similar bans.
As of Sunday, Fond du Lac County had 11 cases of coronavirus, the most of any county in the state.
