NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – Several people were injured following a short police pursuit in Neenah this morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., an officer attempted to make a traffic stop near W. Winneconne Avenue and S. Commercial Street. The driver accelerated, and the officer pursued. When the vehicle turned onto S. Lake Street, the officer cut off the pursuit.
However, after stopping briefly, the officer continued north on S. Lake Street and found the suspect vehicle had struck a parked vehicle.
Multiple juvenile subjects and an adult male subject from the suspect vehicle sustained injuries. They were transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center–Neenah where they were treated for non–life threatening injuries.
The suspected juvenile driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. The incident remains under investigation.
