GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two days before the big night, Santa Claus made a special visit to a Green Bay children’s hospital to spread holiday cheer.
Santa visited HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, along with members of Green Bay Area Fire Fighters I.A.F.F. Local 141 and the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
Firefighters typically visit with the children and deliver gifts with the help of Central Church in Green Bay each holiday season.
But this year, to keep everyone safe amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the firefighters and Santa greeted children from outside the hospital.
Using a firetruck ladder, Santa was raised almost 100 feet to waive to children.
Firefighters were also able to leave gifts — collected by Central Church — for the children.
